Programmes

 

The multimedia design programme is built on four core areas: Interaction development, design and visualisation, communication and presentation and business. You learn to work with frontend development, User Interface Design (UI), User Experience Design (UX) and you understanding the business context.

During your studies you are in close contact with businesses when creating projects and writing papers in cooperation with a specific company or organisation. During the studies you will have an internship period at a company in order to mobilise your competencies in practice. We cooperate with a wide range of business types including agencies, companies, and cultural organisations.

1st semester:
Interaction development (10 ECTS)

4th semester:
Internship (15 ECTS)
Final exam project (15 ECTS)

Interaction development focuses on frontend development.

Design and visualisation focuses on User Interface Design (UI), digital design principles, prototyping, and design processes

Businessfocuses on innovation, project management and you understanding the business context.

Communication and presentation focuses on User Experience Design (UX), development methods, and user testing.

ElectiveOn 3rd semester you you will be able to select one of several elective courses where you can specialise further in UX, UI or frontend development. Electives are developed on an ongoing basis with regard to relevance and demand

Internship On 4th semester you complete a ten-week internship in a company either in Denmark or abroad. The Copenhagen School of Design and Technology has an internship coordinator for all students to help you with the practical questions regarding the internship.

Final project For the final examination you will write a paper and create a digital product within the scope of the programme.

 

EXAMS

1st semester Portfolio evaluation. Internal exam

2nd semesterYou create a digital product and documentation report. The exam is a cross-disciplinary, individual oral exam with external evaluation.

3rd semesterInternal examination for mandatory element and elective.

4th semester The internship is completed with an internal internship exam. The final project is a digital product and documentation report that is evaluated externally.

All marks are given as a joint mark according to the Danish grading system (the seven-point scale).
