Business Economics
Business Economics is about understanding the companies and organizations that use IT to manage their business processes. You learn from both an operational and strategic perspective to identify, analyze and design IT-supported business processes.

Subjects:

  • Business Economics including disciplines like organizational theory, accounting and marketing.
  • Business Strategy including concepts like Enterprise Resource Management, Supply Chain Management and Business Process Management.
  • Project Management.
  • Strategic Planning of Information Systems.

Information Technology
An understanding of IT and IT systems provides you with a basis for developing effective IT solutions supporting the optimization of business processes. You will be able to combine your understanding of an enterprise and IT knowledge and in that way develop more efficient firms.

Subjects:

  • Programming
  • Database Design
  • Development Methods
  • Information Systems Architecture
  • International User Experience

Auxiliary subjects
Focus on communication and presentation technique, team collaboration, international IT- and business law, entrepreneurship and innovation processes, and philosophy of science.

Specialization
At each institution, the student will have alternative programme element choices within the following subject areas:

  • Economic subjects
  • IT subjects
  • Integration subjects

The student will also be able to take relevant courses at other domestic or international institutions for a part of or the entire length of the semester.

Internship

Through the internship your knowledge is turned into practice.

You may choose to go into practice in three different ways:

  • Work placement
  • International placement
  • Create your own business

Final project
The course finishes with a project, where you specialise in a specific subject. The project is a continuation of the work placement which typically will form the basis of the final project.

Interdisciplinary and International

Interdisciplinary projects
Although the program consists of three parts they form a whole. Training is namely interdisciplinary with a strong focus on the combination of theoretical lessons and cases and project work. This means that you work with case studies from business, where you base the best solution on combination of the knowledge from all subjects. This method provides you with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

International education
Additionally, there is great focus on the global market and the education has an international approach. The transnational cooperation is a natural part of your education and the job you get afterwards. The international approach is provided through projects and internship, which may be accomplished abroad, if you wish. Teaching is in English and there will be a mixture of Danish and international students in your team. Therefore, the social environment and your fellow students' background also support the international approach to your study.
The program is designed to make it possible for shorter or longer stays abroad. KEA is in cooperation with a number of attractive institutions abroad.
