Work and residence in Denmark after graduation

Nordic citizens, i.e. citizens of Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, are free to reside and work in Denmark.

EU/EEA citizens and Swiss citizens can reside in Denmark under the EU regulations on free movement.

If you are a student from a non-Nordic and non-EU/EEA country and you complete your education in prescribed time you can have your residence permit extended by six months in order to look for work in Denmark. In order to obtain a residence and work permit the work you find must meet certain requirements defined by the Danish Immigration Service.

Further education

Design Technologist graduates can obtain a Bachelor degree through various 1½ year Top-up Bachelor programmes at KEA and other institutions in and outside of Denmark.
